Jharsuguda: A man allegedly stoned his wife to death at Bhatalama village under Lakhanpur police limits in Jharsuguda district late on Saturday night. The deceased has been identified as Sunita, wife of Ashok Dandasena.
According to sources, Ashok and Sunita had gone to Jharsuguda for some work yesterday. It is suspected that the couple entered into a heated argument over some issue and later Ashok in a fit of rage allegedly killed Sunita by hitting her with a stone.
On getting information, police reached the spot and recovered Sunita's body from roadside in Bhatalama village in Lakhanpur area of the district.
Meanwhile, police have detained Ashok who is being interrogated in connection with the incident.
