Woman labourer murder: Accused mason arrested by police

Bhubaneswar: Commissionerate Police has finally cracked the murder case of a woman labourer, Sita Jali after arresting the accused.

The accused was nabbed by the police while he was trying to sneak out of the state to escape arrest, informed sources.

As per sources, the accused has also led the police to the axe which was used in the murder.

"We have arrested the accused who worked as a mason here in Bhubaneswar. As per the details received, we believe him to be a resident of Madhya Pradesh and the murdered woman used to work as laborer under him. A dispute among them is believed to be the reason behind the murder," Bhubaneswar DCP, Anup Kumar Sahoo said.

The gruesome murder had taken place a few days back at Kalibari slum in Bhubaneswar.
