Three of family killed over 'sorcery' in Gunupur

Rayagada: Three members of a family were found murdered for allegedly practising sorcery at Ukambaguda village in Gunupur area of the district today.

The deceased have been identified as Gopal Sabar, Lakhmi Sabar and Jankini Sabar. All of them were missing since February 23.

Daughter of Gopal, Sabita Sabar has alleged that her family members were beaten to death by a log of wood over suspicion of practicing sorcery.

Based on the complaint lodged at Gunupur police station, an investigation has been launched by cops who have reached the spot along with a scientific team and a dog squad.
