Tension in Khurda village as missing minor boy found dead

Khurda: Tension ran high at Kodabereni village under Begunia police limits of Khurda district after locals staged a road blockade on Baghamari-Kantilo main road following the recovery of body of a minor boy this morning. The 16-year-old boy who was missing since last five days was reportedly found dead near a bush in the village.

According to reports, one Rabi Mohapatra's son Biswajit Mohapatra went missing five days ago. Despite all possible efforts by the family members and locals, Biswajit could not be traced.

However, when his body was found near a bush in the village today, hundreds of irate locals blocked Baghamari-Kantilo route by burning tyres and placing bricks on the road. Alleging that Biswajit has been murdered by some miscreants, the locals demanded immediate arrest of the accused.

Meanwhile in Bolangir, the Government Railway Police (GRP) today recovered a woman's body hanging from a teak tree behind the railway station.

While the exact reason behind the death of the woman is yet to be ascertained, a few locals, from the given circumstances, alleged that she has been murdered by some miscreants and later hanged. Police have initiated an investigation into the matter.
