Teacher gets lifer for unnatural sex with boy

Rayagada: After finding guilty of indulging in ‘unnatural sexual act’ with a minor boy student, a local court in Rayagada on Monday sentenced the accused teacher to undergo life imprisonment.

The Additional District and Sessions Judge also imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on the accused teacher identified as M Uday Kumar.

Public prosecutor CH Shrinivas today informed that the teacher was accused of having unnatural sex with a class III student. However, the matter came to light only after the student was admitted to a hospital in Vishakhapatnam.

Later, the student’s family had filed a case against the teacher in July last year.

“After examining 21 witnesses in the case, the court pronounced the judgment today,” said Srinivas.
