Bhadrak: Railway Protection Force (RPF) officials on Tuesday arrested three persons including a station master on the charges of stealing goods from a parcel van of a train in Odisha.

The accused have been identified as KB Ojha, the station master of Majuri Road Railway Station in Bhadrak district, porter Samsun Biswal and Santosh Senapati, a trader.

According to reports, the trio was arrested on charges of stealing some goods from an express train on December 1.

RPF Inspector, Vikash Ranjan Singh informed that initially the porter Samsun Biswal was arrested while he was trying to load some goods in an auto rickshaw. Later, a local trader was arrested after some goods were recovered from his house, he added.

“After nabbing two persons, we learnt that the station master was also involved in this. During interrogation, he also confessed to his crime,” said Singh.
