Postman found dead in Sonepur; murder suspected

Sonepur: A mutilated body of a postman was found inside a forest near Kalapathara village under Sonepur Police limits of Subarnapur district today. The deceased has been identified as Satrughna Sandha.

Satrughna, who was engaged as postman of Kalapathara post office, was found dead, in a pool of blood, in the forest near Kalapathara village. Although the cause of death is yet to be ascertained, family members alleged that Satrughna might have been stabbed by a knife by some unknown miscreant when he went inside the forest for some work early in the morning.

Sonepur Police reached the spot and has sent the body for post mortem. Further investigation is underway.
