One killed in accident, locals block NH

Jharsuguda: Tension ran high in Jharsuguda after locals blocked the NH-49 protesting the death of a person in a road accident here on Friday.

According to sources, the incident took place today morning when a truck coming along the NH-49 hit a person at Khaliamala Chhak killing him on the spot.

Irate over this, the locals blocked the NH-49 in protest and have demanded compensation for the family of the deceased.
