Bolangir: Palpable tension prevailed in Laxminagar Pada under Town police limits here after body of a minor boy who had gone missing was recovered from a nearby drain late Friday night. The boy's family members have lodged a complaint with the local police alleging that someone dumped his body in the drain after murdering him.

As per reports, after Jagadu Swain's son went missing yesterday all the family members searched for his whereabouts, but in vain. However late in the evening, the minor boy's body was recovered from a drain.

"The boy was with his aunt at the home. Only in the evening, she told us that he is missing. We knew he won't go to a farther place. All of us frantically searched for him and we even searched near the drain two three times. We then lodged a missing complaint with the police. His body with injury marks on head and nose was lying near the drain a few hours later," said Vikash Swain, brother of the deceased.

While the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained, police have reportedly initiated an investigation into the incident.
