Sundergarh: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted a SUV, ATM card, mobile phones and cash worth Rs 1 lakh from a staff posted at District Project Coordinator's office near Tamada under Gurundia police limits in Sundergarh district.

According to sources, the miscreants reportedly looted cash while one Amartya Pradhan (IED Coordinator) along with an employee of DPC office were returning to Rourkela after finishing a school tender work on Saturday night.

The matter came to light this morning after the duo lodged a complaint with the police today.

As per the complainant, the miscreants had blocked the road by felling a tree. When Pradhan and his associate got down from the vehicle to clear the blockade, the miscreants, who were hiding at some distance, attacked them with sharp weapons and robbed them.

Meanwhile, police have started investigation into the incident.
