Miscreants loot Rs 3 lakh near Jharsuguda Tehsil office

Jharsuguda: In a broad daylight robbery, two bike-borne miscreants decamped with a bag containing Rs 3 lakh from a car near Jharsuguda Tehsil office today.

As per reports, one Suresh Chandra Sagar had gone inside the Tehsil office after leaving his bag with cash in his car. While Suresh was away, the miscreants broke the vehicle’s windshield and fled with the cash bag.

“I had kept the bag containing cash on the front seat and covered it with a blanket. After locking the car, I had gone inside the Tehsil office for some urgent work. But after a few minutes, I returned and found that there was gathering near my car. When enquired about the matter, eyewitnesses told me that two bike borne miscreants fired gun shots at the windshield and took the bag before fleeing the spot,” Sagar stated.

Meanwhile, police have initiated an investigation into the matter and based on the complaint filed Sagar, a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
