'Miscreants Loot' Rs 23 Lakh At Gunpoint In Khurda

Khurda: After a brief lull, miscreants unleashed terror by looting Rs 23 lakh from an agent of a private company in Khurda district on Friday. Four miscreants allegedly intercepted Bapuji Moharana, when he was reportedly on his way to deposit the cash in bank.

According to reports, the miscreants snatched the bag containing cash after terrorising Moharana at gunpoint near Sai temple under Khurda Town Police limits.

Though the incident occurred at around 11 am, a complaint in connection with the incident was lodged at the police station at around 3 pm. Sources said police have detained the agent for interrogation as the complaint was lodged hours after the alleged loot.
