Man kills youth for refusing to marry daughter after eloping with her

Sundergarh: Police on Wednesday detained a man for killing his daughter's alleged boyfriend at Bejidihi village in Sundergarh.

According to sources, the youth had reportedly eloped with Kisan's daughter on Tuesday. When both of them returned to the village, Kisan allegedly attacked the youth after he refused to marry his daughter.

Locals said, Kisan thrashed his daughter and her friend when they returned to the village in the afternoon. While the youth died, the girl sustained critical injuries in the attack and is now undergoing treatment at the hospital.
