Man injured in attack over suspected past rivalry in Kendrapara

Kendrapara: Tension prevailed at Nimpur bazar in Pattamundai after a youth attacked one person and torched a motorcycle today. Though the exact reason behind the attack is still unclear, police suspects it to be the fallout of some past rivalry.

According to sources, one Kumar Mallik sustained critical injuries after he was allegedly attacked by Mahendra Malik with sharp weapon. Kumar was initially rushed to Pattamundai hospital and later shifted to SCB Hospital after his condition deteriorated, informed sources.

Mahendra later allegedly set Kumar's bike on fire following which a neighboring shop was reduced to ashes in the incident, added sources.
