Inebriated youth thrashes 4 persons to death in Odisha

Dharmagarh: In a shocking incident, a youth reportedly thrashed four persons to death in an inebriated condition today. The incident was reported from Jayapatna of Kalahandi district.

According to sources, four dead bodies were found on Palasa-Pipalguda road, following which police reached the spot and launched an investigation. The deceased have been identified as Sundar Nayak, Linga Nayak, Nakul Nayak and Upi Sabar. All the four deceased are reportedly from nearby Palasa village. Police also found one motorcycle and 2 bicycles on the spot.

Dharmagarh DSP Laxmi Narayan Panda informed that the accused youth identified as Jatindra has been detained and is being interrogated.

Panda further informed, from the preliminary investigation it seems that the youth in an inebriated state thrashed the four persons to death.
