Gangster Shakil’s Second Girlfriend Arrested On Extortion Charges

Cuttack: The Twin City Police Commissionerate on Friday arrested another girlfriend of gangster Mohammad Shakil on charges of extortion.

Dargha Bazaar Police in Cuttack reportedly arrested her based on allegations of demanding Rs 10 lakh extortion from a businessman in Buxi Bazaar of the Silver city.

Sources said that cops are interrogating her at an undisclosed location to elicit more information from her.

Earlier on January 1, special squad and Dargha Bazar Police had arrested Shakil’s another girlfriend on charges of operating the gangster’s illegal firearms and extortion racket in his absence. She was arrested while returning after meeting Shakil in Choudwar jail.
