Bhubaneswar: Railway Protection Force (RPF) today nabbed a gang of thieves involved in looting train passengers after drugging them. The RPF arrested three robbers from Bhubaneswar and handed them over to the Government Railway Police.

According to sources, the gang of thieves were involved in several cases of theft and were active in Bhubaneswar Railway Station area. The miscreants used to interact with the targeted passengers and after earning their trust, the robbers offer them sleeping pill-laced tea to intoxicate them. The miscreants used to loot mobiles, wallets and other valuable things from the drugged passengers, informed sources.

"We are interrogating the arrested persons to collect more information about their racket and we will take steps to unearth their entire network," said Bharat Sahoo, GRP Inspector-in-Charge.
