Four dacoits arrested in Berhampur

Berhampur: In a major breakthrough, the Chandili Police of Rayagada district arrested four dacoits after conducting a raid here on Sunday.

According to police, all the miscreants hail from Berhampur and they had allegedly looted more than Rs 1.5 lakhs from one businessman, Gaurisankar Nayak, by brandishing sharp weapons at Mukundapur ghat in Rayagada district on March 20.

Based on Nayak's complaint, Chandili Police had initiated an investigation into the robbery and arrested the accused from Berhampur. The cops also seized weapons used during the loot and mobile phones from their possession.
