Fifth bombing incident in Cuttack within two months

Cuttack: Bomb hurling incidents continue unabated in Cuttack with the fifth such incident reported in the space of two months.

On Tuesday, two bike-borne assailants hurled bombs near Jayashree cinema hall under Badambadi police station limits and fled the spot.

Sources said there have been no reports of any casualties or any loss to property. The incident is said to be a fall out of the recent decision of Cuttack Private Bus Owners’ Association to do away with the system of hawker and supervisor from Badambadi bus stand, it added.

Meanwhile, the residents of the city are terrorised even as the local police is beating around the bush to tackle such frequent incidents.
