Bhubaneswar/Bolangir: The Bolangir Sadar police on Tuesday nabbed dreaded criminal Timan Kumbhar and his three associates- Dharmendra Jali, Anirudh Dalbehera and Trinath Sagar near Patia area in the capital city. This apart, five mobile phones were seized from the possession of the arrestees, informed Sadar SDPO Srimant Barik at a presser today in Bolangir.

According to sources, Timan and his three associates were staying at a rented house in Patia area of Bhubaneswar. Police was tipped off regarding the presence of Timan and his associates in the capital city, based on which a team led by Bolangir Sadar IIC Jogeswar Panda conducted a raid at the house in Patia and nabbed the four persons.

All four have been forwarded to court.

As many as 20 cases of extortion, illegal land dealings and murder are pending against Timan at Bolangir Sadar and Town police stations, informed Barik.

"Timan is involved in 20 cases, all registered at Town and Sadar police stations. He was on the run for the past few months. A team led by Sadar IIC arrested Timan from Patia area in Bhubaneswar," said the SDPO.
