Dacoity bid foiled in Anandapur; four arrested

Keonjhar: The Anandapur Police arrested four dacoits in Anandpur of Keonjhar district yesterday while the latter were planning a robbery. However, two other robbers reportedly managed to flee.

According to sources, the accused were planning a dacoity near Salabani Haat area of Anandapur. After getting information about the dacoits, Anandapur Police raided the spot, apprehended the accused and seized weapons and a car.

“After getting information on the dacoity bid yesterday we reached the spot and arrested four miscreants while two others managed to flee. We seized weapons from their possession,” IIC Anandapur Sudarshan Panda said.

A police investigation is currently underway to nab the other accused.
