Bhubaneswar: Further intensifying its probe into the crime syndicate of notorious gangster Syed Usman Ali alias Tito, the Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha Crime Branch today interrogated government officials at the office of Kendrapara SDPO.

According to sources, a team of three officials led by STF DSP quizzed many officers including Rural Development department executive engineer, Nalinikant Senapati and Lift Irrigation department executive engineer Bidyabhushan Nayak.

The sleuths interrogated Senapati and Nayak in connection with allegations against gangster Tito of land grab at Gopa, Chhagaria and Shamagudia areas, sources said.

Earlier, one Sarojini Mishra had accused Tito of encroaching upon her land in Shamagudia area of Kendrapara district.

The STF also questioned Sarojini and other complainants, who had accused Tito of forcibly usurping their land.

On the other hand, Crime Branch officials today conducted simultaneous raids at several places including Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Pipili in connection with the alleged involvement of the gangster in illegal cattle transportation case.

The move came a day after the STF arrested gangster Tito’s two aides- Batakrushna Pani aka Batu and Saroj Pati. Both were allegedly involved in managing the illegal cattle transportation racket of Tito.
