Bolangir Murder: Youth Killed For Seeking Loan Repayment, Say Police

Bolangir: Police claimed to have cracked the murder case of a youth, Satyanarayan Purohit at Dharpagarh village under Saintala Police limits in Bolangir district on October 25 following the arrest of one Jabananda Kanhar in connection with the case on Sunday.

Police officials said Purohit was a businessman by profession and killed by Kanhar for asking the latter to repay a loan amounting to Rs 18,000.

As per reports, Kanhar had borrowed Rs 18,000 from Purohit. But after he failed to repay the loan on given time, Purohit kept on asking him about the same, as such both of them were not in good terms.

Irked over this, Kanhar decided to eliminate Purohit and eventually killed him with a sharp weapon, said police officials.

Meanwhile, police have also seized the murder weapon. Kanhar on the other hand was forwarded to court.
