Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police busted a motorbike-lifting racket in the capital city, Bhubaneswar today and arrested two persons in this connection.

Police have recovered 15 stolen bikes from the possession of the arrested persons. All the bikes were stolen from Laxmisagar, Sahid Nagar and Mancheswar areas of Bhubaneswar.

According to sources, the arrested persons, who are residents of Banki and Digapahandi area, used to target the motorcycles parked in the busy streets and use to steal them using duplicate keys. The bikes were later being sold to various costumers in Banki and Kalapathar areas, sources added.

The duo was arrested earlier in Berhanpur and many cases are pending against them, informed Badagada police.
