2 youths stabbed with knife on VIMSAR premises

Burla: Two youths sustained critical injuries after being stabbed with a knife by a five unidentified miscreants on premises of the Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR) today.

While one Sanjay Sagar has suffered minor injuries, another person identified as Amit Kumar was admitted to the casualty of VIMSAR in a critical condition.

"I was completely unaware of the matter. Two groups were fighting over some issue when I came to the auto stand. Suddenly two persons of one group fled the spot while five members of the other group attacked me assuming that I am also involved in the clash," said Sanjay.

Though the exact reason behind the stabbing could not ascertained, sources said the incident could be a fall out of rivalry over diverting patients from government-run hospital to private hospitals.

Meanwhile, Police have initiated an investigation into the incident and launched a manhunt to arrest the culprits.
