Bhubaneswar: President Ram Nath Kovind is likely to undergo coronavirus test today. As per Rashtrapati Bhavan sources, President Kovind’s decision to undergo the test comes in the wake of BJP MP Dushyant Singh’s participation in an event which was also attended by Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who was later tested positive for COVID-19.

BJP MP Dushyant Singh is now under self-quarantine after attending a party where Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, who has tested positive for novel coronavirus, was present.

Sources said Dushyant Singh had even attended the Parliament and went for a private dinner with some MPs. He reportedly also attended a function organised at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

On March 18, President Ram Nath Kovind had hosted the Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan MPs for breakfast at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

President Ram Nath Kovind will follow all the prescribed norms of the government and all his programmes will be postponed, added sources.
