Mumbai: The BSE benchmark Sensex shrugged off its early losses and swung by almost 142 points at 10.30 hrs today on the back of bargain buying in banking, auto, metal, capital goods and IT sector stocks.

Sensex, which had opened 160.91 points down at 19,101.63 level, bounced back by 141.95 points, or 0.74 per cent at 19,404.49 at 1030 hrs. It had lost 440 points in the previous five straight sessions.
