Mumbai: The Indian rupee opened 2 paise higher at Rs 45.65 per US dollar on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, largely on dollar inflows and firming Asian currencies overseas.

Forex dealers said besides dollar inflows, gains posted by the euro and other Asian currencies against the American dollar supported the rupee`s rise. However, a weak trend in the equity market capped the gains.
