Mumbai: The Indian rupee fell by 2 paise to a one-week low of Rs 45.74 against the US dollar in early trade on the Interbank Foreign Exchange today, weighed down by gains made by the greenback against other Asian currencies overseas.

Dealers said the rupee lost ground due to dollar gains against other Asian currencies. However, a higher opening in the domestic stock market capped the losses.
