Islamabad: Pakistan has condemned Indian Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar's statement that Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) is a part of India and New Delhi will have its physical jurisdiction some day. Pakistan called the statement "inflammatory" and "irresponsible".

According to reports in the Pakistani media, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesperson Mohammad Faisal strongly condemned the statement and said, "we reject the inflammatory and irresponsible remarks made by the Indian external affairs minister regarding Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir,"

"These remarks are an obvious manifestation of India's utter frustration over the continued international censure of its egregious human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir," Faisal added.

Faisal claimed that India was "committing state terrorism" as nearly a million military personnel have incarcerated more than 8 million Kashmiris in one of the world's largest prisons".

Pakistan urged the international community to take note of India's "aggressive posturing" and added that such remarks have the potential to further escalate tensions and jeopardise peace and security in the region.
