The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday informed that the depression has weakened into a well-marked low pressure area over westcentral and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh-north Tamil Nadu coasts.

As per IMD, the system is likely to move slowly west-northwestwards and weaken further during the next 24 hours. 

Earlier, IMD had also predicted that the depression will weaken into a well mark low pressured area.

Rainfall Warning

Light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over south coastal Andhra Pradesh on November 22 and light to moderate rainfall at a few places over north Tamil Nadu-Puducherry during the same period.

Light to moderate rainfall at few places is likely over North Tamil Nadu-Puducherry, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema on November 23.

Wind warning

 Squally weather wind speed reaching 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph is likely to prevail over Westcentral and adjoining Southwest Bay of Bengal and along and off South Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining North Sri Lanka coasts till evening of today and decrease gradually thereafter becoming 30-40 kmph gusting 50 kmph by November 23 morning.

Minimum Temperature Forecast

No significant change in minimum temperatures likely over many parts of East India during the next 24 hours and fall by 2-4°C during the subsequent four days. No significant change in minimum temperatures likely over rest parts of the country during the next five days.
