Dry weather is likely to prevail across Odisha for the next three days, while shallow to dense fog conditions are expected in several districts during the early morning hours, the Meteorological Centre said on Sunday.
According to the latest forecast, there will be no large change in minimum (night) temperatures across the State during the next two days. However, a rise of 2–3°C in night temperatures is expected thereafter over various districts of Odisha.
Day 1 Forecast (Valid till 8:30 AM IST, February 17)
Dry weather is very likely to prevail across all districts of Odisha.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely to occur during early morning hours at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul, and Dhenkanal.
A Yellow Warning (Be Updated) has been issued for dense fog at isolated pockets in Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Puri, Khordha, Dhenkanal, and Cuttack districts.
Day 2 Forecast (Valid from 8:30 AM IST, February 17 to 8:30 AM IST, February 18)
Dry weather conditions will continue across the State.
Shallow to moderate fog is likely at one or two places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khordha, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Angul and Dhenkanal during the early hours.
A Yellow Warning for dense fog has been issued for isolated pockets in Kendrapara, Khordha, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Ganjam, and Gajapati districts.
Day 3 Forecast (Valid from 8:30 AM IST, February 18 to 8:30 AM IST, February 19)
Dry weather is very likely to prevail over all districts of Odisha, with no significant weather systems affecting the State during this period.
Advisory
The weather department has advised commuters to exercise caution during early morning travel due to reduced visibility caused by fog. Drivers are urged to use fog lights and maintain safe distances on highways and urban roads.

While no major weather disturbances are expected in the State, residents have been advised to stay up to date with official bulletins, especially in districts under a Yellow Warning for dense fog.
