A Red Warning has been issued for Kalahandi, Koraput and Malkangiri districts, where extremely heavy rainfall is expected. In addition, 14 districts have been put under orange warning while 13 others remain under yellow warning. Coastal and eastern Odisha, along with parts of western Odisha, are set to receive intense showers, officials said.

The IMD has further cautioned that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty surface winds are likely across several regions. Wind speeds along the Odisha coast may reach 40–60 kmph, making sea conditions unsafe. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the deep sea during this period.
