Viral video: Couple caught ‘making out’ inside Delhi-Meerut RRTS train

A video purportedly showing a couple engaging in intimate behaviour inside a Delhi–Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) train has gone viral on social media, triggering widespread concern over public decency and passenger safety.

The couple first begin with kissing each other inside a train coach. Later, they cover themselves with a sheet, and the girl then sits on the man’s lap, before they engage in s*xual activity. The unusual behavior occurred even as the train was traveling between Modinagar and Meerut stations.

The train coach appears to be moderately occupied, with at least one other passenger visible seated a few rows behind the couple. Train announcements can be heard in the background, indicating that the incident took place during an active service run.

Following the viral video’s circulation, the Uttar Pradesh Police and the National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) have initiated an inquiry to identify the individuals involved. Authorities are also examining whether there was any violation of privacy norms, particularly concerning the alleged sharing of internal surveillance footage, according to media reports.

The incident has sparked intense debate on social media platform X, where users remain divided between condemning the alleged act as public indecency and raising concerns over privacy and the circulation of such footage. Several users expressed shock and outrage, especially amid claims that the female individual appeared to be wearing a school uniform and that other passengers were present inside the coach.

One user described the incident as deeply disturbing, stating that such behaviour in public transport is unacceptable and must be strongly condemned. Officials have not yet issued a detailed statement, and the investigation remains ongoing.
