It started with a simple question about daily earnings, but within minutes, the conversation took a disturbing turn. A late-night chat between a passenger and an Ola driver, captured on camera, has gone viral after the driver spoke about situations he says he regularly encounters while working nights in Delhi and Gurugram.
The video opens with the passenger asking the driver about his profession and earnings. The driver responds that he works as an Ola driver and typically earns between Rs 1,000 and Rs 2,000 a day. He adds that this income comes after working long hours usually eight to ten hours daily, which he describes as physically exhausting.
When asked about the biggest difficulty in his job, the driver pauses before sharing experiences that leave the passenger visibly stunned. He claims that during night rides, he often encounters intoxicated female passengers who allegedly behave inappropriately, including asking him to arrange alcohol. According to the driver, such incidents are not limited to one area and occur across locations like Delhi and Gurugram.

Internet Divided Over the Video
The clip has drawn mixed reactions on social media, quickly crossing 40,000 views. While some users dismissed the claims, calling the behaviour a matter of personal choice, others expressed concern, describing the situation as harassment and questioning the lack of legal safeguards for male drivers.
Several comments also debated broader issues around safety, consent and double standards, reflecting how deeply polarising the video has become.
A Conversation That Opened a Larger Debate
While the authenticity of individual claims remains unverified, the video has sparked a wider discussion about the realities faced by gig workers during night shifts and the complex social issues surrounding safety and accountability. What began as small talk inside a cab has now turned into a viral moment, forcing uncomfortable questions into the public conversation.
