Pop icon Katy Perry and former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau have seemingly confirmed months of swirling dating rumours after being spotted sharing a passionate kiss aboard her yacht in Santa Barbara, California. Rumours Turn into Reality

This romantic sighting comes just weeks after reports suggested a rift between the pair, with insiders claiming Trudeau was ‘uncomfortable’ with the spotlight following their dinner in Montreal. But the new photos tell a different story — one of chemistry and comfort. Perry, dressed in a chic black swimsuit, was seen kissing a shirtless Trudeau as the two laughed and hugged under the California sun.

A bystander told The Daily Mail, “She pulled her boat next to a whale-watching vessel, and then they started making out. I didn’t realise it was them until I saw Trudeau’s tattoo, that’s when it clicked.”

From Dinner Dates to Public Displays

The duo first sparked rumours back in July, when they were seen dining together in Montreal. Trudeau later attended Perry’s sold-out ‘Lifetimes’ tour in Canada, further fueling speculation of a budding romance.

New Beginnings for Both

Perry, who ended her long engagement with actor Orlando Bloom in June 2025, continues to co-parent their daughter Daisy Dove, born in 2020. Trudeau, meanwhile, separated from wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau in August 2023 after 18 years of marriage. The former couple share three children, Xavier (17), Ella-Grace (16), and Hadrien (11).

Looks like love may have found its way back to both, this time, on open waters.
