Arranged marriages often come with endless biodata, awkward calls and one big question from parents ‘kya update hai?’ To manage the chaos, a 28-year-old data analyst from Haryana decided to apply workplace logic to his personal life, turning his bride search into an Excel-powered project that has now gone viral.

After his parents suggested an arranged marriage, Vikas began searching for a bride on matrimonial platforms. However, managing multiple prospects soon became overwhelming, especially with his parents expecting regular updates. Instead of juggling calls, chats and memory, Vikas did what he knows best - he built an Excel spreadsheet.

The sheet neatly tracks the first names of matched women, call dates, feedback from both sides, current status and detailed notes. Labels like ‘no vibe’, ‘good conversation’, ‘no follow-up’, and ‘values aligned’ help him summarise each interaction with analyst-level precision.

‘Build a Tracker’ Goes Viral

Vikas shared a video of the spreadsheet on Instagram with the caption, “When life gives you arranged marriage, build a tracker. Weekend Tracker.” He revealed that he has been searching for a bride for about five months and created the sheet to keep his parents informed by the end of each day.

He later shared another video expressing frustration with the ‘talking stage’ of arranged marriages, pointing out how long office hours and exhausting weekends leave little time to review biodata or hold conversations.

Internet Reacts with Laughter

Instagram users found the approach both clever and hilarious. One user joked, “Hope your tracker reaches ‘successfully closed’ status soon.” Another wrote, “Meri Excel sheet mein 100+ naam ho gaye hain.” A third quipped, “Monthly dashboard review meeting bhi hogi kya?”

With 8.3 lakh views and over 10,000 likes since February 8, 2026, Vikas’s Excel-powered love life proves one thing when tradition meets technology, even arranged marriage can come with charts, notes and a touch of humour.
