After 12-year stint, Lallantop Editor Saurabh Dwivedi exits India Today Group

After spending over a decade with the India Today Group’s digital ecosystem, Saurabh Dwivedi, who currently serves as Editor of Lallantop and India Today Hindi, is set to begin a new chapter in his professional journey. The development was officially announced by Kalli Purie, Vice Chairperson of the India Today Group, who acknowledged Saurabh’s contribution and leadership, while wishing him success in his future pursuits across various domains.

Saurabh Dwivedi’s association with the India Today Group spans nearly 12 years, during which he emerged as one of the organisation’s most prominent homegrown leaders. Groomed within the Mediaplex framework, he joined the group as a Features Editor at aajtak.in. Over the years, his editorial vision and storytelling skills evolved, eventually playing a pivotal role in shaping Lallantop into one of the most influential digital news platforms catering to young audiences, particularly from India’s heartland. Alongside his colleague Kamlesh, Saurabh helped build Lallantop’s distinct voice, credibility, and wide digital reach.

In her message, Kalli Purie expressed deep pride in Saurabh’s work and the creative legacy he leaves behind. She noted that the idea of exploring opportunities beyond the group had been part of their discussions for some time, as Saurabh was keen to channel his creative energy into newer mediums that currently fall outside the India Today Group’s portfolio.

As part of the leadership transition, Kuldeep Mishra will take over full editorial responsibility for Team Lallantop, while Rajat Sain will head the Production Team. Both leaders are founding members of Lallantop and bring extensive experience to their new roles. Kuldeep is widely recognised as the anchor of popular shows such as The LT Show and Netanagari, while Rajat has overseen several major production transformations during Lallantop’s growth. While Saurabh’s departure marks the end of an important era, the organisation has expressed optimism and confidence in the next phase of leadership.
