19 min 34 sec MMS scandal: Viral boy caught, thrashed in full public?

A 19-minute 34-second intimate video of a young couple, in a compromising position, has triggered a massive wave of reactions on social media. The viral clip shows them recording themselves in the act.

Shot in a bedroom, the clip, whose authenticity remains unverified, has taken Instagram by storm, with countless memes and jokes adding to the frenzy. 

However, the massive traction has also created widespread confusion among users regarding the identities of the individuals in the viral clip.
Amid the chaos, an unrelated video of a boy being flogged by police began circulating again, with many claiming that the boy seen in the assault footage was the same person from the viral MMS.

This misinformation spread quickly, prompting the NCIB to issue an official clarification.

According to the police, the video of the boy being thrashed has no connection to the ongoing MMS controversy. Officials confirmed that the clip is nearly eight months old and originated from the Vasahli area of Ahmedabad. It documented an incident from March 13, when a group of unruly elements attacked passengers using sticks, clubs, and swords, besides vandalising vehicles. A total of 14 individuals were arrested, including a minor whose video is now being incorrectly linked to the current MMS scandal.

Police have urged the public to refrain from spreading misinformation and to verify facts before sharing sensitive content online.
