The Bhubaneswar centre of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that overcast conditions are likely to prevail in Coastal parts and adjoining interior parts of the state. These conditions are likely to prevail under the influence of a trough from a low pressure area that extends to Westcentral Bay of Bengal off south Andhra Pradesh coast.
The MeT Centre has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershower at a few places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada,Nawarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam in the next 24 hours.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers are also likely at a few places over the districts of Jagatsinghpur, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, and Kendrapara. Dry weather is very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.

There seems to be no respite from heatwave for the people in several parts of Odisha as the mercury level touched 41 degree mark by 11:30 am on Sunday.
The Odisha government on Friday confirmed that one person has so far died of sunstroke this season.
