Some districts of Odisha are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall owing up to a low pressure area formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal. This information was shared by Bhubaneswar Centre of the India Meteorological Department on Tuesday.
Under its influence, warm and moist air is likely to flow from Bay of Bengal towards Odisha following which the minimum temperate in the state may increase slightly. Apart from that, districts of Southern Odisha are likely to witness light to moderate rainfall.
As per the IMD, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of South Arabian Sea and Maldives area, some parts of Lakshadweep area, entire Comorin area, some more parts of South Bay of Bengal and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal today.

A yellow warning for thunderstorm with lightning has also been issued for various districts in the state.
As per the IMD, a fresh western disturbance lies over northeast Afghanistan in middle tropospheric level which is likely to merge with western disturbance over north Pakistan by tomorrow, the June 1.
