Cyclonic Circulation Over Bay Of Bengal To Intensify Into Low Pressure: IMD DG | Odisha Weather

A cyclonic circulation has formed over the Bay of Bengal.
There is forecast of formation of a low-pressure area.
Will the system intensify into a cyclone?
Director General of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, informed on Wednesday that a trough extends from the cyclonic circulation over southeast Bangladesh and its vicinity to the North Andaman Sea, passing across the Myanmar coast.
Under its influence, a low-pressure area is likely to form over the North Bay of Bengal and nearby regions around October 4. 
However, the IMD has not made any forecast on whether the system will intensify into a depression or cyclonic storm, Mohapatra stated.
