A cyclonic circulation has formed over south Andaman Sea and its neighbourhood, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday. As per forecast, a Low Pressure Area is likely to form over southeast and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal around October 20.

The latest weather developments suggest the formation of low pressure over the Southeast Arabian Sea and subsequent intensification into a depression.
A low pressure area is very likely to form over the same region during the next 24 hours, said the IMD.
According to a bulletin issued by the India Meteorological Department, Sambalpur emerged as the hottest place in the State with mercury reaching up to 44.2 degrees Celsius today.
As per the IMD, the southwest monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of South Arabian Sea and Maldives area, some parts of Lakshadweep area, entire Comorin area, some more parts of South Bay of Bengal and Eastcentral Bay of Bengal today.
