The Deep Depression lay centered at over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal about 90km south- southeast of Gopalpur and 120km south-southwest of Puri. It is likely to move north-northeast wards, weaken further into a depression and reach Odisha coast near Puri during next 6 hours. IMD DG Mrutyunjay Mohapatra informed that heavy to very heavy rain will lash coastal belt from Ganjam to Kendrapara for some hours. But gradually, rainfall will subside in southern coasts while intensity of rain will rise in northern districts of Odisha like Bhadrak, Balasore, Jagatsinghpur and other interior districts.
