No matter how odd it may sound, there exists a version of our lives online & the keys to this world are our passwords.
But are we carelessly leaving the keys under the doormat or on the door sill for others to pry open and sneak in?!
As it turns out, we do!
Believe it or not, a report by NordPass (a proprietary password manager,) revealed that the most commonly used password in India is ‘password.’
After ‘password’, ‘12345’ ranked the 2nd-most popular password in the country, which can be hacked in a second.
Many Indians use names like 'priyanka', 'sanjay', 'rakesh', and others as passwords, while ‘iloveyou,’ 'sweetheart' and 'lovely' are popular ones among women in India.
The report highlighted that in India, 62 passwords out of the 200 can be cracked in less than a second.
Some other common passwords in India are 123456789, 12345678, india123, qwerty, abc123, xxx, Indya123, 123123, abcd1234 and 1qaz.
