Ruling BJD in Odisha slammed the Centre and the minister for their indifferent attitude towards the border dispute with Andhra over border villages in Kotia.
Launching a scathing attack on the BJD, the BJP alleged that as the ruling party failed to respond to questions raised by the Opposition, they adjourned the assembly sine die ahead of schedule.
Tearing into the BJD, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “After the assassination of Naba Das, an innocent youth was murdered. This suggests lawlessness in the State. Whenever we raise this issue, they (BJD) term it politicisation and accuse us of shaming the State.”
Water Resources Minister Tukuni Sahu said, "In 2000, the Chief Minister demanded the release of 2 million acre feet of water for Odisha. Despite the fact that the matter was taken up with the Prime Minster and Union Water Resources Minister, it yielded no fruit."
