The exclusion of senior party leader and MLA Susanta Singh from BJD’s team for the ensuing Jharsuguda bypoll has heated up the politics in the State with the Opposition parties, BJP and Congress claiming that the move proves Susanta Singh’s involvement in the killing of cabinet minister Naba Das.

The claim was made by BJP’s State General Secretary, Prithviraj Harichandan who said that most of the BJD leaders who want to end the 'Ravan Raj' in Odisha are in talks with the BJP.
As per the allegations by some saffron party workers, to checkmate party’s progress in the district, the ruling party is creating disturbances by luring some workers of BJP.
Addressing a large gathering in Ajmer, he hit out at the Congress and said the Congress is a party that gets 85 per cent commission in development schemes. It does not discriminate against anyone in looting. Be it the poor, deprived, tribals, Dalits, minorities, it loots everyone equally.
