It is said that, ‘woman are the real architects of society’. Gone are the days when women were perceived as a weaker section by some. Women have played pivotal role in key areas and made a mark through valuable contributions. From being successful homemakers to being doctors to working as scientists, women have now aced in every sector and every single task they’ve taken up.
Today, as we celebrate the International Women’s Day, here’s a glimpse into the life of a selfless teacher who has stepped forward to bring a positive change in society through education.
Education is a major tool that strengthens the vision of children to build a glorious future. But is education accessible to all? Some children, especially those residing in slum areas, are deprived of education. Padma Shri chaiwala late D. Prakash Rao had only one goal in his life – to ensure that no slum children is deprived of education. After his demise in 2021, his daughter Bhanupriya Rao has ably managed to fill in the shoes. She was settled outside Odisha in the corporate sector, but had to return owing to her father’s health condition. But after he passed away, Bhanupriya made her father’s dream her own. She sacrificed everything to live the dream of her father to impart education for a better future of the children.
In an effort to impart free education to slum children, Bhanupriya and her team went door to door to explain the importance of education. It was not easy for Bhanupriya to take responsibilities of the school after her father, but her selfless nature paved the way towards making it an even more successful venture.
The way Bhanupriya independently fulfilled her father’s dream, she asserts all the women in this world are meant to achieve great heights. Bhanupriya is setting a bright example in the society. She is leaving no stone unturned to give the slum kids a bright future as her father always dreamed of.
