Tomato Rate Touches Rs 100 A Kg In Odisha After Price Explosion In Producing States

Despite arrival of southwest monsoon in India, the prices of tomato are soaring in several parts of the country. The sudden jump in the price of the kitchen staple has been fuelled by the explosion in rate of the essential vegetable in producing states like Karnataka. In Odisha too, the price of tomatoes have surged to Rs 100 at retail several markets in the state bringing worry for consumers.
