Elderly pensioners in Ganjam, Jajpur and Kandhamal districts are having trouble in getting their pensions, allegedly due to the lackadaisical attitude of the concerned district administrations.

“If people will look closer they will understand that why this scheme has been launched at a time when lakhs of sanctioned houses under the PM Awas Yojana are lying undistributed with the State government,” said Union Jal Shakti Minister, Bishweswar Tudu.
As per reports, Suna demanded Rs 300 each as bribe to prepare land maps from 11 persons. A middleman named Samadeb Banchhor, gave the total bribe of Rs 3300 to Suna for the job.
The girl was reportedly stuck under large pipes installed at the spot for the construction of the ongoing box drain project in the city.
